LEGISLATIVE AGENDA

Below are some of the proposed actions for 2018 and what membership in the West Virginia Aerospace Alliance brings. This year’s legislative agenda includes:

• Eliminate the Consumer Sales and Service Tax on maintenance of aircraft operated under fractional ownership
• Support a Constitutional Amendment to end taxation of business machinery and manufacturing inventory
• Advocate full funding of Governor’s Workforce Participation Program
• Advocate full funding of community and technical colleges providing aerospace training programs
• Ensure industry presence with the Governor’s Administration, the Department of Commerce and the West Virginia Legislature
• Protect Infrastructure needs at industry hubs
• Promote expanded broadband internet in the state
• Ensure additional taxation does not befall the industry during West Virginia’s attempts to close future budget shortfalls
